My twins are turning 9 on July 8. I always try to make something special for them on their birthdays. This year, the first thing I made was a jewelry box birthday banner. (NOTE: I did not make up this idea…It came from a site called diyshacks that I found on Pinterest)
First, I lined a small jewelry box (that I got at Michael’s) with paper and washi tape. I used one of my new paper punchers to make a set of shapes to string. I attached a piece of embroidery floss to the top of the box using a sticker. Next, I used a circle sticker to attach the floss to the paper heart and then added the letters. I attached the other end of the floss with another sticker and voila!
Afterward, I decorated the top of the box and added a note on the bottom. Here are a few more photos:
